15 Travel Sized Beauty Products You Need In Your Life

If you’re a gal on the go like me, then you probably don’t have the time or the patience to be lugging around a ton of palettes, brushes, and compact cases. Doubly so if you happen to be extremely (lazy) low maintenance- also guilty.

I recently moved pretty close to the mall, and eyeing the daily deals at Sephora and Ulta got me inspired to write a list of my top faves. Whether you’re packing for a trip and need to conserve space, touching up your look at work, or just want to save money on mini and trial sized makeup- I got you!

1. A Versatile Nude Lip

If I had to choose one lip color to have on me at all times, it would be nude- they’re understated yet pretty, and appropriate for every occasion!

2. Blotting Paper

Even if you’re not super oily, blotting paper can help wick away excess dirt and oils that accumulate during the workday- meaning less time devoted to touchups.

3. Mini Brush Set

Mini Brush sets are great because they’re convenient, relatively cheap, and, if you can find them, often have double ended options that further conserve space.

4. Brush Holder

If your set didn’t come with one, or if you have single brushes from multiple collections, a brush holder helps keep all your little brushes from rolling around at the bottom of your bag and getting dirty and lost.

5. Setting Spray

Setting spray is a must if you’re trying to lock in a look for a few hours, and can give a hydrating boost to your skin.

6. Concealer

Concealer is your friend, especially on days where you don’t want to put on a full face- you can just dab a spot on here and there and you’re ready to go! I strongly recommend investing in a good one, especially as skin tends to get dry and dull in the winter months.

7. A Face + Eye Compact

Love a good two-for-one combo! Seriously though, it’s incredibly economical to mash the two up- my favorite full-size palettes include eye pots and face pots, and there are plenty of travel sized options out there.

8. Travel Bottle for Foundation

This way, you don’t need to purchase different foundation than you’re used to just for the trial container, you only need to pour some of your everyday foundations into one of these cheap bottles!

9. Travel Sized Mascara

Because, well, sometimes all you need is a thick layer of mascara, and you’re ready to take on the world.

10. Mini Highlighter

I wrote once that I had a “friend” who disapproved of my liberal use of highlighter. To which I say: glow, baby, glow! Stick a little sparkle in your travel bag or purse if it makes you happy 🙂

11. Mini Bronzer

I’m getting really into bronzers as opposed to buying a whole contour palette, and I especially need one in the colder months, because as I mention above, it’s really unforgiving to the complexion!

12. Lip Balm

I don’t know about anyone else, but my lips get sooo chapped year round! I always keep a good lip balm on hand, especially if I’m going to apply lipstick throughout the day.

13. Moisturizer

Because my skin is dry as the desert and needs moisture at all times in order to avoid cracking like a mummy’s.

Everybody loves smelling good. Slip a discreet little bottle of your fave scent in your bag to be smelling like roses all day long.

15. Makeup Remover Wipes

In case you’re traveling and need to remove your makeup while on the go,  or if today just isn’t your day, always best to be safe.

You definitely don’t have to carry all of these in your purse, but going small shouldn’t also mean that you can’t create and maintain an everyday look! If there are any essentials you keep with you, let me know!

Keep it real,
